What's going on when 5,000 moms show up for a weekend in Bloomington/Normal, Illinois, in March?
It's the Hearts at Home Annual Conference, of course.
Being a mom takes a lot of work. Jill Savage, the organization's founder and CEO, recognized that need and started Hearts at Home out of her living room almost 20 years ago. The Hearts conference now draws moms from all corners of the country for a weekend of laughter, music, teaching, and encouragement.
The conference also draws nationally known speakers and authors. This year's roster featured comedian Anita Renfroe, Candace Cameron Bure (you may know her as "DJ" from the TV show "Full House"), musician Meredith Andrews, Jill Savage, and dozens of others.
I photographed the conference on Saturday (my wife attends on Friday). Featured below are a few images that tell the story of the day. More images are available here.
