Seniors

There’s no one like you–so why should your senior portraits be like everyone else’s? You’re finishing this important chapter in your life with your future in front of you. This milestone experience should be fun and unique–that’s my goal when I make your photographs.

What to Expect

It’s helpful for me to get to know you a little bit before we actually make the photographs. For that reason, we’ll schedule a consultation a week or more before the session. This meeting usually takes less than an hour and I’ll ask you about your activities and interests, music that you like, books/movies/magazines you enjoy. We’ll also talk about the kinds of images you like, how you want to be photographed, any special locations you may want to visit, and what to wear.

On the day of your session, we’ll start in the studio for some classic images (the ones your parents and grandparents will want) as well as some contemporary looks that you’ll like. From there, we can move on to some interesting locations that will provide the backdrops for the rest of your session. I’ve photographed seniors in parks, gardens, alleys, on the doorsteps of churches and buildings, street corners, football and baseball fields, bleachers, farm fields, barns, railroad tracks–I’m open to helping you look your best. We’ll do some unique lighting as well so your photographs will look amazing. Expect your session to last about 3 hours.

About a week after the session, we’ll meet again for a viewing appointment so you’ll have the opportunity to see how good you look. We’ll also discuss which photographs will look best for wall portraits, gift portraits, and any other prints you’d like to have.

What to Wear

Bring as many outfits as you like to the session–the more, the better! We may not photograph you in all of them, but it’s always good to have choices. If you need ideas on coordinating colors, check out Adobe’s Kuler web site–very helpful!

Cost

The session fee is $149 and prints begin at $30. You can also purchase canvas wraps or upscale leather hardcover books that showcase your photos in style.

Schedule Your Session

Seniors can have extraordinarily busy schedules, even in the summer. To ensure that you have time to get your photographs made, I typically start photographing students in the late spring or early summer prior to their senior year. I’d love to talk with you about your photography–contact me today to set up a consultation.
