On the other side of the downtown square from my studio sits the Lincoln office of Prairie Engineers, "a civil engineering and land surveying consulting firm focused on delivering innovative and cost effective services" for their clients.

Earlier in the fall, I met with Lisa Kramer, president of Prairie Engineers, to talk about ways that they could use imaging to improve their marketing. Lisa mentioned that they were planning to open a new office in Springfield and they were also in the middle of developing a new website. So it was a perfect opportunity to make some business portraits of their staff moving to the new office.

On a snowy afternoon in the middle of December, then, the five engineers sauntered across the block to the studio to have their pictures made. They were a delightful group of folks, and I enjoyed a few minutes of conversation with each of them as the snow wafted down on central Illinois.
